On March 14, 2019, the 2019 CRRC Science and Technology Quality Work Conference was grandly held in Qiqihar, and the 2018 CRRC Science and Technology Award was presented on site. Among them, CRRC Qingdao Sifang Locomotive and Rolling Stock Co., Ltd., in cooperation with our company and Huazhong University of Science and Technology, has developed a laser cleaning project: research on laser cleaning technology for typical components of rail vehicles, which has won the third prize! China CRRC Science and Technology Award - Winner: Wuhan Xiangming Laser Technology Co., Ltd

This project aims to address the cleaning issues of oxides, oil stains, and other contaminants during the construction and maintenance of rail vehicles. The engineering application research of laser cleaning technology for the surface of vehicle bodies and gearboxes has been completed. The main technological innovations of the project achievements are as follows:

1. According to the requirements for pre welding cleaning of large aluminum alloy components, an integrated cleaning and welding operation mode and supporting equipment have been developed;

2. Developed laser fine cleaning technology for post welding color fading and dust removal of stainless steel vehicle bodies, avoiding problems such as surface damage and decreased corrosion resistance caused by traditional cleaning methods;

3. A laser cleaning process for key components of gearboxes such as collector rings and ultra-thin copper gaskets without deformation, low stress, and slight damage has been proposed, solving the problem of irreparable ultra-thin copper gaskets.

At present, the achievements of this project have been widely applied in projects such as the new construction of stainless steel car bodies for urban rail vehicles, maintenance of high-speed train gearboxes, and high-speed maglev aluminum alloy car bodies. This is the first pioneering application of laser cleaning technology in China's rail transit industry, with broad application prospects and enormous promotion value!
